How does Cactos offer low electricity prices?

Cactos can offer low prices because we see consumption in real time and manage balancing using batteries.

When imbalances can be corrected immediately – either in the market or with batteries – costly imbalance charges are avoided. This means there is no need to add an extra risk margin to the electricity price.

Already 20% of our customers have chosen a Cactos electricity contract to maximize the benefits of their energy storage system.

What is an imbalance – and why does it matter?

In the electricity market, production and consumption must be balanced at all times. When forecasted consumption differs from actual consumption, an imbalance occurs, which creates costs.

These risks are often reflected in the electricity price paid by the consumer. In the Cactos model, real-time visibility and intelligent use of batteries significantly reduce imbalance risk.

That’s why we can offer electricity at a lower price.

De benodigde capaciteit hangt af van factoren zoals de grootte van je netaansluiting, de kenmerken van je eventuele zonnepanelen en je specifieke verbruiksprofiel. Onze experts ontwerpen altijd samen met jou het optimale pakket.

Cactos kan momenteel systemen leveren met een capaciteit tot 50 MWh.

Dit verschilt per model:

Fero & Steno: 215 kWh capaciteit / 92 kW vermogen.
Cactos Yavia: 430 kWh capaciteit / 184 kW vermogen.
Mylo: 520 kWh capaciteit / 260 kW vermogen.‍
Nevado (grid-scale): 4.180 – 9.196 kWh per unit. Units kunnen parallel worden geschakeld voor meer vermogen.
