From commercial sites to grid-scale projects, Cactos battery energy storage systems power smarter energy use, everywhere.
We design and build our battery energy storage systems, including LiFePO4 battery modules, at our factory in Kempele, Finland.
Cactos systems can scale to meet your needs. For example, combining 10 Mylo units provides a 5.2 MWh of storage capacity and 2.6 MW of power.
All systems are powered by Cactos Spine, ensuring they’re always working for your best.
Launched in February 2023, Cardo is ideal for sites that need backup power or have smaller electricity connections.

Fero supports diverse applications, making it perfect for any commercial or public property to optimize energy use.
Features and technical specifications
Steno is the outdoor evolution of our popular Fero. This compact battery energy storage system suits a wide range of applications, making it the ideal solution for sites aiming to optimize their energy use.

Yavia, the outdoor original, is at home across a wide range of C&I applications. The battery energy storage system powers EV fast-charging stations, versatile commercial facilities, and more.
Mylo, the little brother of Nevado, thrives in a wide range of C&I applications. The liquid-cooled battery energy storage system excels at delivering additional power for fleet and EV fast-charging stations, logistics centers, and beyond.

Designed for grid-scale applications, the new high-power, liquid-cooled Nevado delivers over 2 MW of charge and discharge power and more than 4 MWh of energy storage capacity per unit. It is built for large-scale projects such as battery parks, storing renewable energy, and grid balancing, as well as participation in wholesale markets – including day-ahead and intraday trading.
Inspired by Nevada, Nevado is engineered to perform in the toughest conditions. Combine multiple units to scale your system up to 50 MWh of capacity.

As renewable energy gets more common, the electricity grid needs more flexibility to stay balanced. With Cactos, you automatically participate in ancillary service markets run by your local transmission system operator, helping to stabilize the grid.
This also means additional income for you. In 2023 and 2024, revenue from ancillary service market participation has at least covered our customers’ cost of leasing a Cactos system.
Cactos Spine handles everything automatically, ensuring your system is always working for you.
The compensation is determined by the ancillary services market. The amount depends on factors such as your Cactos energy storage system's size, market prices, and the number of hours you offer reserve capacity. Currently, participation is available in Finland. Olipa kiinteistösi millainen tahansa, jokainen päivä energiamaailmassa on erilainen.
What kind of product guarantee does Cactos have?
Cactos offers a full warranty on the equipment it manufactures for the entire leasing period. The warranty covers both labour and necessary spare parts.
How do I know how many units I need?
The amount of capacity to be installed depends on a number of factors such as the size of the electrical connection at the installation site, the characteristics of the potential PV system and other factors related to electricity consumption. Our experts will always design the optimal package together with the customer, taking into account the various factors that affect the sizing of the system.
How much capacity is there in one Cactos unit?
The capacity of Cactos units depends on the model.
The smallest Cactos unit, Cardo, has a battery capacity of 130 kWh and a power of 45 kW. Cactos Fero and its outdoor sibling Steno have a battery capacity of 215 kWh and a power of 92 kW.
Of our outdoor units, Cactos Yavia has a battery capacity of 430 kWh and a power of 184 kW, Mylo has a battery capacity of 520 kWh and a power of 260 kW, and Nevado has a battery capacity of 4 180 kWh and a power of 2 195 kVA.
Cactos units can be installed in parallel as needed, achieving greater storage capacity and power. For example, a system of ten Cactos Mylo units would result in a total battery capacity of 5.2 MWh and a power of 2.6 MW.
