How does Cactos boost EV charging?

High-power charging stations require substantial energy. The highest peak usage in a given period sets the bar for demand charges, which can significantly increase energy costs. By using stored energy during peak consumption, you can lower demand charges.

When a power spike occurs, the Cactos energy storage system automatically discharges energy to meet the demand. This provides two key benefits: lower demand charges from reduced peak power drawn from the grid and an improved customer experience by higher charging power.

For example, if your charging station dynamically shares 300 kW across six chargers, each vehicle would receive 50 kW. By adding two Cactos Yavia energy storage units, you could more than double your total charging capacity.
